EMDR Book Club

Have you got stacks of EMDR books that you bought with the best of intentions?  Are those books quietly collecting dust on bookshelves in tucked away corners?  Pages and paragraphs skimmed and half-read?  This is my life too!  At this point, some of them seem to just be trauma-informed décor.

When I first started practising EMDR 10 years ago, I read everything I could get my hands on.  As time has gone by, the internet has gotten faster and I find myself rarely reading actual books. I’ve set a personal intention this year to watch and consume less and read, write, and create more. So out of this emerged the idea for:  EMDR Book Club.

Each session we will take a deep dive on a chapter or two of an EMDR (or EMDR adjacent) book.  As an EMDR Consultant, I’ll provide guidance, questions, and my thoughts on the material.  I hope the format also fosters rich and meaningful group discussion where we can learn and refresh our knowledge together.

Let’s dust off the books, switch on our e-readers, or press play on a long-forgotten audiobook.  Whether you are new to EMDR or a seasoned practitioner  – All Welcome.

Refresh or deepen your knowledge of EMDR and Trauma Therapy in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

We are currently reading: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: Third Edition by Francine Shapiro.

Feel free to get in contact with me if you would like to be emailed when the next book starts.
